VILLAGERS who want to save the iconic Red Lion Inn in Culross can now buy their very own slice of the pub thanks to the launch of a community share offer next week. It s hoped the initiative will raise around £250,000 in £25 shares which will help the community buy the boozer from current owners David Alexander and Ann Dowds, who are retiring. A new community benefit society called West Fife Community Trading Limited that has been set up will be the owners and a tenant will run the pub and restaurant with the profits going straight back into the pocket of the community.
