Capital City Police Officer Additional IG Ghulam Mahmood Dogar on Wednesday urged people to ensure registration of tenants to avoid any untoward situation, including illegal possession.
He said the police also provided online tenants registration facilities in this regard. He was presiding over a meeting to review an overall performance of Anti Qabza Mafia Cell, held at Capital City Police Headquarters.
SSP Operations Ahsan Saif Ullah, SSP Discipline Nadeem Abbas, SSP Legal Sheikh Asif, all divisional SPs, members of allied departments, including Revenue, Overseas Pakistanis, Cooperative, LDA attended the meeting.
Ghulam Mahmood Dogar directed the officers to take strict action against land grabbers and deal cases of overseas Pakistanis as well as poor and destitute people on priority basis. LAHORE: The Prime Minister office has directed the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore to take the influential tenant, who had grabbed a widow’s house in Lahore and delayed payment of rent, to task.
A widow had explained her ordeal to the prime minister on a telephone call that the brother of a former Lahore SSP investigations had grabbed her house two years ago and was not paying rent. She also explained that her house was retrieved by former CCPO Lahore Umar Sheikh but the influential tenant was still not paying her outstanding rent amount to the tune of Rs500,000.

A police constable was killed in an exchange of fire with alleged robbers in Mohlanwal on Tuesday night.
Police Constable Muhammad Qaisar was son of police martyred. His father lost his life in a blast in front of Data Darbar a few years back.
ASI Azhar Abbass said he was on patrol in the Sundar area along with a police team on a van when they received a call on 15 that a few suspects were looting citizens. As the police team reached the spot, the suspects had escaped Sundar. They followed the suspects and intercepted them near Automobile Market adjacent Binoon Factory Multan Road where they were looting a shop Kashif autos.

LAHORE:The funeral prayers of martyred Constable Muhammad Qaisar, who lost his life last night in police encounter with four dacoits at Mohlanwal Sundar area were offered at District Police Lines Qilla Gujjar Singh on Wednesday.
Provincial Minister Industries Mian Aslam Iqbal, Inspector General of Police Punjab Inam Ghani, CCPO Lahore Additional IG Ghulam Mahmood Dogar, DIG Investigation Shariq Jamal, DIG Operations Sajid Kiani, DIG Security Mehboob Rashid, SSPs, divisional SPs, brothers and other family members of the martyred Constable and a large number of Police Officers and Jawans attended the funeral.
