CHARLOTTE, N.C. One person is dead and two others seriously injured following a crash in east Charlotte, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reports.
According to police, the crash happened a little after
9:00 p.m. on April 24. Police said their officers responded to reports of a motor vehicle collision near the 1000 block of Eastway Drive. When they arrived, officers located three pedestrians, a 1997 Dodge Caravan and a 2006 Mercedes-Benz S500 all of which had been involved in the collision.
Police report 69-year-old Adrian Perez, one of the three pedestrians struck during the collision, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been notified of his death, police confirm.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide after finding an unresponsive man in a west Charlotte hotel room Sunday afternoon.
Officers responded to a hotel located on Queen City Drive around 1:50 p.m. after receiving a welfare check call. Upon arrival, officers found an unresponsive person in a room.
Police say Medic responded and pronounced the victim, identified as 29-year-old Jurkeith Montreal Peterson, dead at the scene.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police were conducting a death investigation in north Charlotte in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood Friday afternoon. After further investigation police are saying a man s death has now been ruled a homicide.
Police responded to an assault with deadly weapon call for service around 3:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Lasalle Street. Officers arrived to the scene and located a GMC SUV that ran off the road and struck a tree. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene by Medic.
