CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person is dead and two others seriously injured following a crash in east Charlotte, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reports.
According to police, the crash happened a little after
9:00 p.m. on April 24. Police said their officers responded to reports of a motor vehicle collision near the 1000 block of Eastway Drive. When they arrived, officers located three pedestrians, a 1997 Dodge Caravan and a 2006 Mercedes-Benz S500 all of which had been involved in the collision.
Police report 69-year-old Adrian Perez, one of the three pedestrians struck during the collision, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been notified of his death, police confirm.
