CHARLOTTE, N.C. One person is dead and two others seriously injured following a crash in east Charlotte, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reports.
According to police, the crash happened a little after
9:00 p.m. on April 24. Police said their officers responded to reports of a motor vehicle collision near the 1000 block of Eastway Drive. When they arrived, officers located three pedestrians, a 1997 Dodge Caravan and a 2006 Mercedes-Benz S500 all of which had been involved in the collision.
Police report 69-year-old Adrian Perez, one of the three pedestrians struck during the collision, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been notified of his death, police confirm.

The crash occurred just after 9 p.m. near the intersection of Eastway Drive and East Sugar Creek Road. When officers got to the scene, they found three pedestrians, a 1997 Dodge Caravan and a 2006 Mercedes-Benz S500 which had been involved in crash.
