Man arrested on arson charge after Ocean Springs house fire

OCEAN SPRINGS, Mississippi A 35-year-old Ocean Springs man has been charged with arson after fire and police units responded to a house fire on Bowen Avenue early Friday morning.
According to Ocean Springs police Capt. Ryan LeMaire, the fire was reported shortly after midnight Friday. Ocean Springs firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, which had been contained to the front yard.
Investigation revealed gasoline had been poured on the front door, porch, steps and front lawn of the residence. The gasoline had been lit, but did not spread to surrounding areas or the main structure.

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WLOX) - An Ocean Springs man is now facing a felony charge of arson after he allegedly tried to set a house on fire, said police.
Authorities received reports of a fire at a house on Bowen Avenue early Friday morning at 12:20 a.m. When first responders arrived at the scene, they found a fire in the front yard of the house.
A fireworks display will ring in the new year. Silo Park will be a family-focussed area, with musicians Che Fu, Frank Booker DJ, Soul9Yards, and White Chapel Jak playing from 3.15pm to midnight. There will also be face painting, tinsel monsters, and circus workshops. Festivities on Te Wero Island start at 5pm, with Boh Runga, Laughton Kora & Mal Lakatani Duo, and the Jordan Luck Band headlining.

Boh Runga will play on the main stage on Te Wero Island, at the America’s Cup Village. There will be food and drinks on offer, but the village is an alcohol-free zone.

The Bismarck-Burleigh Public Health Plans to hold a drive-through testing event at the Bismarck Event Center next week (Tuesday, Nov. 10th).
Testing is open to all ages, and the event will be conducted on a first-come, first-served, schedule.
Note that they will be starting the testing event a little earlier to accommodate more tests.
Those who wish to be tested must enter Parking Lot D, (the lot south of the Bismarck Event Center, across Bowen Avenue) from Seventh Street. The actual testing will be done inside the Bismarck Event Center.
