The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office says harsh road conditions are to blame for a single-vehicle accident on White Pole Road last Thursday evening. Their initial investigation shows 51-year-old Kristina Lois Sherman of Adair was traveling eastbound in a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee when she lost control of the SUV at approximately 7:16 p.m. and entered the south ditch. Authorities say the vehicle rolled once, coming to rest on its top. Blowing snow resulted in nearly zero-visibility conditions at times, and the road at the scene of the accident was extremely slick. Neither occupant in the vehicle reported any injuries and refused medical treatment. Damage to the Jeep was estimated at approximately $10,000. Sherman was cited for driving while license suspended.

The Rosenbeck vehicle was stopped and waiting for oncoming traffic to turn north onto 11
th Street. Schneider told authorities she was talking with her passenger and did not see the stopped car, striking it in the rear. Neither driver suffered any injuries, but one passenger in each of the vehicles complained of suspected minor injuries and were transported by private vehicle to the Guthrie County Hospital. There was an estimated $2,000 in damage to the Schneider Oldsmobile and $5,000 in damage to the Rosenbeck car. Schneider was cited fo

rd Street in Bayard at approximately 11:55 p.m. Upon arrival, they found 25-year-old Ashley Faith Andrews in a 2003 Ford Expedition that had sustained significant front end damage and was parked in a residential yard. An investigation and witness reports revealed that Andrews allegedly exited an alleyway northbound and turned west onto 3
