Tension in Ondo community as assailants attack, raze 15 houses

The assailants who also appeared to be arsonists had in their numbers attacked the community and set ablaze 15 houses. It was gathered that the arsonists who were known to the residents of the community attacked the community after the locals allegedly tipped off security agencies about their activities and movement. Angered by the move of the arsonists, women in the community who protested the attack and destruction of the community, called on security agencies to arrest the gang members.

Women in the community protested the attack, calling for the arrest of gang members. The protesting women said the attackers were known members of the community who got annoyed because the Joint Task Force clamped down on them.

The CDC Chairman, Prince Deeka was said to have been buried alive by certain criminals for some unknown reasons. The DPO of Bori Police Station, SP Bako Angbashim led his team to a thick forest between Andoni and Bonny local government areas of the state, where Deeka, was buried. The 10-year son of the murdered community leader was among the team who visited the forest so he could identify his father.

Man found dead with stab wounds in front of his house

JOHOR BARU: A man was found dead with stab wounds in front of his house in Kampung Desa Makmur here. Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Padzli Mohd Zain said that the police received a report at about 8.25am on Friday (April 2) about the discovery of the body of a man in his 20s. “A slash wound was found on the victim’s neck while a stab wound was found on his right rib. “The police have also recovered a paper knife cutter as well as pieces of a knife blade at the location, ” he said in a statement Friday (April 2).
