As intellectuals in Ghana’s public universities, it is our duty to reach out to the Ghanaian public on issues of critical national importance to help us in our moments of reflection, especially when our national institutions appear to be fading out and shying away from their commitment to the letter and spirit of the Constitution of Ghana.

(WBTV) - Police have charged a man with attempted murder after two people were stabbed with a machete on a CATS bus in southeast Charlotte Wednesday afternoon. The incident happened on a CATS bus on East 7th Street in the Elizabeth community around 3:32 p.m. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officers responded to the scene. Police say the weapon used was a machete and when officers arrived, they found two victims with stab wounds. Police say both victims were taken to the hospital after suffering non-life threatening stab wounds.

Although Mr. Rawlings rejected the honour while he was alive, President Akufo-Addo said his family has endorsed the decision.
