ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - A Saint Anne’s Belfield alum will be responsible for making sure NASA’s Perseverance rover completes its journey to Mars successfully later this month.
Chloe Sackier, a 2014 graduate of STAB, discussed the Mars 2020 program in a zoom interview Monday night with Bob Troy, her former science teacher at STAB.
She says she always knew she wanted to work in aerospace, beginning with when she used to drag her mom out of bed in the middle of the night to watch rocket launches from wallops island.

A 12-year-old boy in far northwestern Wisconsin is facing an attempted intentional homicide charge after allegedly stabbing his brother several times.
The older boy was accused of stabbing his 7-year-old sibling three times once in the back, twice in the abdomen, and once in the chest on Jan. 11, NBC-affiliated WMTV reported. It noted that the incident took place while the pair was at a house in Solon Springs, about 45 miles south of Duluth, Minnesota.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Police have charged a man with attempted murder after two people were stabbed with a machete on a CATS bus in southeast Charlotte Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened on a CATS bus on East 7th Street in the Elizabeth community around 3:32 p.m. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officers responded to the scene.
Police say the weapon used was a machete and when officers arrived, they found two victims with stab wounds. Police say both victims were taken to the hospital after suffering non-life threatening stab wounds.
