Print Ahead of California’s mid-June reopening, city leaders in the South Bay said they are transitioning toward a full reopening at their own paces. Chula Vista, National City and Imperial Beach will each look a little different, at least in the next 30 days, as more people return to work and as officials track everchanging safety measure requirements in the workplace. “The June 15 date is going to be a transitional date for us,” said Chula Vista City Manager Maria Kachadoorian. “We’ve been actually trying to phase ourselves into reopening slowly. We didn’t think that going from one approach one day and then jumping into another would make sense because COVID isn’t going away on June 15.”

Warren libraries reopen with safeguards, limited hours

Warren libraries reopen with safeguards, limited hours Advertisement WARREN Operations are moving back toward normal at the Warren Public Library, one step at a time. The latest step was the March 1 reopening of all branches with most services, safeguards and limited hours in place. “The first day we opened, we had over 100 people come in at the Civic Center Library,” Warren Library Director Oksana Urban said. “People walked in saying we are so happy that you’ve opened. They’re coming in, checking out materials. Not too many people are staying. They’re doing a little browsing, making paper copies, printing things out of their email.
