U.S. News & World Report has released its annual rankings of every public high school in the nation.
The rankings rated more than 17,800 public high schools on how well they served students on factors such as college readiness, reading and math performance, graduation rates and assistance for underserved students.

Traditionally, Hershey High School has held senior events all within a 10-day window in late May. It was a time of celebration that was really cool for the graduating class, principal Jeffrey Smith said.
Enter the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Hershey’s 2020 prom, like so many other high schools, was canceled, along with almost every other school event.
One year later, Hershey’s prom is back on. To allow for any possible quarantine needed, its senior events are now spread out with two weeks in between. The high school will hold its prom on May 12.

Central Pennsylvania native Bill Gaudette doesn’t quite have the track record of some of professional soccer’s most famous journeymen. Nonetheless, during his seven years of playing professional soccer he managed to play for teams all across the United States and Canada before concluding with a spell representing the Puerto Rico national team. Not bad for a goalkeeper from Hummelstown, Pennsylvania.

While the term Presidents Day is commonly used for the federal holiday, the official designation is Washington’s Birthday, to honor the first president of the United States, George Washington, whose birthday is on Feb. 22.
The holiday also – in some states - is recognized as honoring Abraham Lincoln, whose birthday is on Feb. 12, and all United States presidents.

King’s birthday is Jan. 15, 1929.
According to thekingcenter.org, the day should be celebrated with community service - “a day on, not a day off.”
