NZ musician Thomas Oliver admits to grasping woman by throat Newshub 14/05/2021

Wellington musician winner Thomas Oliver has admitted to grasping a woman by her throat while black-out drunk as numerous accusations of misconduct within the New Zealand music industry continue to be shared online.
The If I Move To Mars singer penned a lengthy statement on his Facebook page in which he claims he has been the subject of assault and harassment allegations .
Oliver said he denied all but one of the accusations made about him, admitting one was mostly true and saying he wished to take responsibility for his actions .
The station, owned by former broadcaster Ian Stables, said it was conducting a thorough review of workplace practices after and that it was deeply sorry for the stress and upset the comments had caused.
Whistle-blowing Instagram account Beneath The Glass Ceiling (BTGC) drew attention to the job listings on Wednesday after they were shared online a day earlier by the independent station.

The joke, which has since been removed from the listing, seemingly referenced the numerous allegations of sexual harassment, abuse of power and other misconduct which prompted MediaWorks to launch an internal investigation that found no wrongdoing. MediaWorks said it was disappointed by the job listing and referred Newshub to Ski FM for further comment. At the time of publishing, Ski FM has not responded to Newshub s request for comment.
