Abbeville Man Arrested On Murder Charge
Abbeville Police says, via a press release, one person has been arrested for allegedly being the person responsible for the shooting death of James Joseph Jr. on April 9.
Lt. Jonathan Touchet says that they have booked 32-year-old Abbevile man Jacolby Nunez on a charge of First Degree Murder for the death of Joseph. The man was shot to death at around 9:30 that morning in the 900 block of East Lafayette Street..
Officials say Nunez was already in jail on some unrelated charges when they were able to serve him the warrant for his arrest Wednesday. His other charges are for Home Invasion and Simple Burglary. He is still incarcerated in the Vermilion Parish Correctional Center, and Touchet says their investigation continues. He added that more arrests, in this case, are possible.

DETORIT – A Detroit father continues his search for justice after his son was murdered last year.
In November, 22-year-old Rashad Kimball was shot on East Lafayette Street on the city’s east side. Investigators said Kimball was walking home from a store when someone approached him and fired several shots.
He was able to get away but later died from his injuries.
On Wednesday Feb. 10, Kimball’s father Michael Horner made a plea for anyone to come forward with information about his son’s death.
