New sustainable cashmere brand launches
A new Yorkshire-based brand, Loop Cashmere, has received investment from former Wacoal CEO Tracy Lewis.
Retail prices range from £59 for accessories to £279 for loungewear.
Following her investment, Tracy Lewis, who is also a non-executive director at Bluebella, has joined Loop Cashmere as a non-executive director.
As part of the brand’s sustainability pledge, products are made using a yarn supplier accredited by the Good Cashmere Standard, which is an independent standard for sustainable cashmere that has been developed by the Aid by Trade Foundation. This aims to improve the welfare of cashmere goats, the lives of farmers and farming communities. Loop Cashmere has also committed to deliver 95% recyclable packaging for all of its products and is working with Yorkshire-based distribution hub Enabled Works, which trains and supports disabled and disadvantaged people into employment.
