Police closed a number of city centre roads this morning after being called to a man in distress at a block of flats.
Around six police cars and two ambulances were called to the scene on Broad Street, Hanley, at around 7.30am this morning.

Artists have given streets in Hanley a makeover as part of a project to try to help the city centre look its best as it gets back in business.
Clough Street, the busy thoroughfare used by pedestrians between the main shopping and dining area in Stoke-on-Trent City Centre and Tesco Extra, has been transformed with colourful murals.
