KILLEEN, TX â The race is over for three newly elected Killeen Council members, but for District 4 candidates Michael Boyd and incumbent Steve Harris, theyâll have to take an extra lap.
âI did not expect it, I am surprised but Iâm happy with the turnout,â said Michael Boyd, Candidate for Killeen City Council District.
âEvery vote count and this is a prime example,â said Steve Harris for Candidate for Killeen City Council District.

KILLEEN, Texas The City of Killeen is still dealing with the lingering effects of the February winter storm. It is so bad, city council members are considering a $5.8 million bid to repair the roads. So many people drive on those roads,” said Killeen Mayor Jose Segarra. “I think it is the city s responsibility to make sure you have safe roads, and good roads that are not going to tear up your car or anything like that.”

KILLEEN, TX â You can feel it just about everywhere you drive in Killeen. The cracks, holes and other devastation all from Februaryâs big freeze.
âA lot of potholes just torn up. You have to swerve in and out of the roads to make sure your tires donât get torn up,â said Killeen Resident Isaiah Ivey.
Ivey said driving down Stagecoach and other local roads to get to his gym is just as intense as his workout.
Since the storm, he said hasnât seen much improvement.
