The government announced today (Wednesday) that the whole of Nottinghamshire will move into the highest level of restrictions from midnight tomorrow. Dawn Jenkin, public health consultant at Nottinghamshire County Council, said: “We appreciate how hard the new restrictions will be for many but what is important now is that we all observe the new regulations in place, understand what they mean and explain the rules to those around us.

Covid: 158 new cases and four further deaths in Hywel Dda THERE have been 158 new coronavirus cases reported in Hywel Dda health board’s area according to today’s (December 24) figures. Public Health Wales figures show 34 new cases in Pembrokeshire from 315 tests, 105 in Carmarthenshire from 591 tests, and 19 in Ceredigion from 184 tests. Four more deaths have been recorded across the Hywel Dda Health Board, bringing the total number of deaths to 182. To date, 9,702 cases have been confirmed across the health board – Carmarthenshire 6,742, Ceredigion 1,099, and Pembrokeshire 1,861. Across Wales, 2,161 cases were reported today, with Public Health Wales recording 63 deaths. Wales now has had a total of 133,263 confirmed cases and 3,263 people have died with suspected Covid-19.
