CHRISTMAS is just days away and the rules have once again changed. Last weekend, Wales brought the level 4 restrictions forwards, meaning it faced restrictions the equivalent of a lockdown. This was due to the rising levels of coronavirus and a new variant of Covid-19 was found. As a result, the five-day Christmas relaxations were scrapped and just two households can mix on Christmas day only.

ALMOST 220 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed across our region by Public Health Wales (PHW) today. There have now been over 16,300 lab-confirmed cases of the virus from the combined counties that make up the North Wales region since the outbreak of the pandemic - after more incidents were confirmed in the latest figures released today. Public Health Wales confirmed that the 219 of today’s 3,013 newly confirmed Welsh cases were from the northern region.
They can be broken down as such: • Anglesey – One (1.4 per 100,000 population as of today) • Conwy – Nine (7.7 per 100,000 population as of today) • Denbighshire – 22 (23.0 per 100,000 population as of today)
