Medford romance author Valerie Harris says good storytelling is key to novels
Madison Schulman / medford@wickedlocal.com
Valerie Harris knows all about romance. Since 2012, the Medford resident has been a notable romance author, publishing 14 award-winning books.
The books, which range from erotic to sweet romance, are published under the pen name Christina James. Harris said she took the name as her children were young when she first started writing, and didn’t want them to be affected in any way.
“The cool thing about it is it’s a combination of both my children’s middle names so they could be part of this career that I was building,” said Harris.
