Bealeton solar farm plan faces skeptical supervisors
Photo/Dynamic Energy
Dynamic Energy LLC proposes a solar farm along Route 17 south of Bealeton â similar to this one in Greenpoint, N.Y. I understand the need for renewable energy, and I donât have a problem with that, per se. But when it has to come at the expense of potentially our rural lands . . . I think itâs a questionable trade-off. And thatâs why I have reservations. Supervisor Holder Trumbo

It will cost the county an estimated $230,000 to restore bulk item collection at the Catlett, Markham, Marshall, Morrisville and New Baltimore sites â staring Monday, April 12. Many of my constituents reached out, asking that they be replaced. Those living in the Sumerduck and Goldvein areas have quite a hike to the landfill. Hopefully, bulk refuse wonât continue to be dumped on our back roads. Supervisor Chris Butler

Staff Journalist Beginning Monday, April 12, Fauquier County will resume accepting bulk trash items at its remote residential collection sites.
Four of the five sites take county household waste and recyclables; Remington accepts only recyclables.
Bealeton age-restricted proposal features 151 homes
The conceptual layout for Schoolhouse Manor clusters 151 homes on about one-quarter of the 108-acre site just south of Schoolhouse Road. Cedar Lee Middle School stands just northeast of the site.
The proposal includes 85 detached, single-family homes.
The developer proposes 66 attached âvillas.â The dialogue is always open, in our minds, as we work through this project with the community in trying to get it to an approval status or a favorable point. Schoolhouse Manor consultant Chuck Floyd
