Bealeton solar farm plan faces skeptical supervisors

Dynamic Energy LLC proposes a solar farm along Route 17 south of Bealeton â similar to this one in Greenpoint, N.Y. I understand the need for renewable energy, and I donât have a problem with that, per se. But when it has to come at the expense of potentially our rural lands . . . I think itâs a questionable trade-off. And thatâs why I have reservations. Supervisor Holder Trumbo

The proposal calls for rack mounted solar panels about 1,700 east of Route 17 â similar to this array. If the project is awarded a (Virginia Clean Economy Act) program contract, construction could begin as early as six months from program acceptance. Construction is anticipated to take approximately six to nine months. Dynamic Energy LLC
