Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday called upon stakeholders to double the efforts for the branding and marketing of local agriculture products besides seamless extension of technology from lab to field for bringing long-term changes in the sector.
Speaking during the inaugural ceremony of a five-day-long Kisan Mela here, the Lt Governor suggested to focus on strategic and professional approach for branding and marketing of local products to increase the income of the farming community. The Lt Governor observed that J-K farmers have huge potential for becoming agriculture entrepreneur

Jammu: Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha today called upon all stakeholders for doubling the efforts for branding and marketing of the local Agri-products, besides seamless extension of technology from Lab to Field for bringing long term and revolutionary changes in the agriculture sector.
Speaking during the inaugural ceremony of five days long Kisan Mela, the Lt Governor suggested to focus on strategic and professional approach for Branding and Marketing of local products to increase the income of farming community, and stressed for understanding the importance of Kisan Mela which can bring change in the lives of farmers.
The Lt Governor observed that J&K farmers have huge potential for becoming Agri-entrepreneurs.

‘17 States, NCDRC use eDaakhil portal to register consumer complaints’

× Leena Nandan, Secretary of Department of Consumer Affairs on Monday said that about 17 States and the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) have now enabled the e-filing mechanism for registering of consumer complaints online through the e-Daakhil portal which offers more convenient mechanism for consumers to file complaints from any location.
She said so far the facility is available at 449 locations and all States are expected to launch this facility in the coming days. Over 13,000 users have already registered online complaints. She said about 647 companies havebecome convergence partners of the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) during April-December 2020.
