On Tuesday, the Trenton Police Department confirmed that one of their officers was under investigation for messaging a minor; meanwhile, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was interviewing a 16-year-old about an alleged rape.
Michael Wilson, a 25-year-old police officer, was charged with statutory rape after that interview on Dec. 9. He was fired from the Trenton Police Department the same day.
âThe female disclosed on or about Sept. 3. (the incident) took place at Mr. Wilsonâs residence, located inside the city limits of Trenton,â Cpl. Adam McAtee, of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, wrote in a probable cause affidavit. âThe female advised she disclosed her age to Mr. Wilson prior to (the incident).â

Among additional cases processed Tuesday in the Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court, a Galt resident, Ryan Mitchell Hutcherson was placed on probation after pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated persistent offender. He was sentenced to six months at the Grundy County Detention Center which was then suspended by the court and replaced with two years probation. Hutcherson on this charge is to pay $300 to the law enforcement restitution fund and costs.
Hutcherson pleaded guilty to other charges stemming from September 6
th which included operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, and failure to display plates on a motor vehicle. Those fines added up to $161.50 plus the court costs.
