Former Vice heads Alex Light and Matty Graham launch Bowlo Draught

Former Vice Australia commercial director Alex Light and client creative partner Matty Graham have launched Bowlo Draught, a craft brewery intended to aid their local lawn bowls club.
Light and Graham were amongst the staff of Vice who were made redundant in June last year as the network dramatically reduced its numbers in Melbourne and Sydney, and closed the local outpost of its creative agency Virtue completely.

Speaking to Mumbrella, Light and Graham said they are keen to keep their finger on the pulse of the industry while focusing on their growing beer business.
Cummins & Partners CEO Chris Jeffares moonlights at brewery business

Cummins & Partners CEO, Chris Jeffares, will now be splitting his time to support his brother’s brewery Stomping Ground.
Global CEO and co-founder, Sean Cummins, told Mumbrella all staff and clients have been made aware of Jeffares new interest in the business and it is business as usual at the agency.

“He has an interest in his brothers’ burgeoning beer business Stomping Ground. So he is dividing time between these interests. All our clients and staff know this and we continue to have him as part of our team.”

1. Jeep ‘I Bought a Jeep’. Arguably the most memorable automotive campaign of the last decade. After years of Jeep selling circa 4k units a year, the agency embarked on making this American icon an Australian favourite. Through an effortlessly simple construct, charming executions and relentless consistency people indeed bought a Jeep. In fact, at its peak selling 45k cars a year turning a niche brand with turnover of $100m into $1billion brand In Australia.

Western Sydney Ad School is partnering with Cummins&Partners and oOh!media to promote diversity in the media industry via a new campaign launching this week.
The goal of the initiative is to boost opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds that represent all of Australia, including the indigenous community.
Creative and media agency Cummins&Partners worked closely with the Western Sydney Ad School team to shape the messaging for the campaign, which is being supported by oOh! as Australia and New Zealand’s leading Out of Home advertising company.
oOh! is showcasing the campaign across key digital road and retail assets near the school, in order to reach the target audience and raise awareness.
