Western Sydney Ad School is partnering with Cummins&Partners and oOh!media to promote diversity in the media industry via a new campaign launching this week.
The goal of the initiative is to boost opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds that represent all of Australia, including the indigenous community.
Creative and media agency Cummins&Partners worked closely with the Western Sydney Ad School team to shape the messaging for the campaign, which is being supported by oOh! as Australia and New Zealand’s leading Out of Home advertising company.
oOh! is showcasing the campaign across key digital road and retail assets near the school, in order to reach the target audience and raise awareness.

Name: Emmanuel Asante
Dreams of: Being an art teacher
I got a message on Facebook after one of my last diaries. A co-founder of the Western Sydney Ad School offered me a scholarship to one of their short courses. I told my mentor, Abdul Abdullah. He said that if he were me, he would take up the scholarship and do Tafe as well. I said OK, if that’s what you’d do, that’s what I’ll do too. I’m excited. I’m really hopeful.
The course will start in mid-February. I’ve signed up with the enrolment and everything. I’m now just waiting to hear back.
