Before Jeff Johnson became the in-stadium host of the Gastonia Honey Hunters, the award-winning host and entertainer spent several decades building his resume through a zestful passion for broadcasting, education and baseball.
Gaston County folks may recall seeing J.J.” on Fox 46 WJZY from 1991 to 2007, where he became one of the most recognizable TV hosts in the Charlotte area. Johnson and his wife, Nancy, eventually moved to Atlanta, where he was a host on Peachtree TV.
Johnson was once a regular volunteer at Holy Angels in Belmont, which cares for people with intellectual developmental disabilities. He was an emcee for numerous events at Holy Angels starting in the early 1990s until he moved to Georgia in the 2000s.

The Charlotte Ledger Business Newsletter has also been covering this story. And we turn to the Ledger s Tony Mecia.
Marshall Terry: Tony, is this single-family zoning issue the only aspect of the plan that s garnering opposition?
