Welcome to CaroMont Health Park, home of professional baseball's Gastonia Honey Hunters.
CaroMont Health has purchased the naming rights to what had been known as the FUSE stadium, where the American League of Professional Baseball's newest team will begin play on May 27. The Opening Day opponent will be the Lancaster (Pa.) Barnstormers, marking the start of a seven-game homestand, and 120-game season scheduled to end Oct. 10 at home against the West Virginia Power.
Terms of the deal announced Monday by CaroMont Health, Gaston County's largest employer, and the Honey Hunters were not initially disclosed.
