Islamabad:Prioritising service to people and accomplishment of their responsibilities, cops of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) will perform special duties on Eid day to maintain traffic discipline in the city especially to check stunts of one-wheelers and for religious congregations and at public places.
A special traffic plan has been chalked out by SSP (Traffic) Syed Kar Hussain following directions of IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman. Traffic cops will perform their duties at religious congregations and public places to ensure smooth flow of traffic there.
SSP (Traffic) has also constituted special teams to check one-wheeling and driving motorbikes without silencers by youngsters on the boulevards of the city. He said special vigilance would be maintained against vehicles having non-pattern number plates, tinted glasses as well non-registered vehicles so as to avoid any untoward incident.

‘ITP endeavouring to make traffic rules part of academic syllabus’

Islamabad : Islamabad traffic police (ITP) is working on a plan for insertion of traffic rules in the academic syllabus to educate the young generation and ensure a safe road environment as well as a disciplined traffic system in the federal capital.
Addressing the concluding ceremony of road safety quiz competition, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Qazi Jamil ur Rehman said the Islamabad police force is in contact with educational institutions to introduce traffic rules in their syllabus.
The quiz competition was arranged by Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) in which students of various educational institutions in the capital participated.
Police to add more sections to FIR, says DIG

Islamabad: Islamabad police have announced to add more sections in the FIR in the couple assault case after some new facts came to light during the investigation.
Deputy-Inspector General (DIG) (Operations) Afzaal Ahmed Kausar told the media here on Monday that in the light of new facts emerged during the investigation, the police have decided to add more sections that includes 375A/375D PPC, 384 PPC, 342 PPC, 114 PPC, 395 PPC, 496A and 377B in the FIR 442/2021 registered at police station Golra Sharif, Islamabad including those pertaining to the crime as dacoity and extortion. Kausar said that the accused could get a death sentence or life imprisonment for the crime they committed against the couple.
