Foolproof security during Ramazan April 14, 2021 Islamabad: Islamabad police have chalked out an elaborate plan to ensure foolproof security during the holy month of Ramazan and ensure effective patrolling and vigilance in each sector of the city. Following the directions of IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman, DIG (Operations) Afzaal Ahmed Kausar has finalized a plan for effective security of faithfuls during the Ramazan and ensure implementation on SOPs issued by the government to avoid spread of coronavirus. According to the plan, more than 3000 security personnel including policemen and private security guards would perform duties at 998 Masajid and 32 Imambargahs during the holy month.

He said this while addressing the passing out parade of 34th Recruits Course here at Police Line Headquarters in which 134 policemen passed out.All the DIGs, SSPs, AIGs and other senior police officials have attended the event. “The attitude of an individual cop represents the collective attitude of the force.So, it is up to you to earn good name for police department through your devotion and honesty,” he said.The IGP, observing the parade, said that this force had always hectic schedule of duties which included security, traffic control, patrolling and several other duties.

So, it is up to you to earn good name for police department through your devotion and honesty,” he said while addressing the passing out parade of 34th Recruits Course here at Police Line Headquarters. In all, 134 policemen passed out in this course. The event was attended among others by all DIGs, SSPs, AIGs and other senior police officials.

Two inter-provincial gangs busted

April 11, 2021 Islamabad: Bani Gala police have busted two criminal gangs wanted to police in more than 45 cases of theft as well as dacoities and recovered looted items worth millions of rupees from their possession, a police spokesman said on Saturday. Following the directions of IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman, he said an effective crackdown against anti-social activities is underway. SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer also constituted special teams for effective action against criminal elements. One of the team headed by SP (City) Muhamad Omer Khan took prompt action following the complaint of a woman registered at Bani Gala police station. This team including ASP Bani Gala Haider Ali and SHO Bani Gala Tipu Sultan, ASIs Aashiq Hussain, Shehzad Rafique and others succeeded to bust an inter-provincial gang comprising four gangsters.

IGP directs for friendly police ecology Islamabad April 10, 2021 Islamabad : Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman conducted a surprise visit to Nilore police station and directed all police officials to behave decently with those visiting police station. He checked conditions of locks-up, the front desk of the police station, police record and also observed the process of dealing with the public. He inquired visitors about the attitude of policemen and facilitation to them in registration of their complaints. He met with the police officials as well as ‘jawans’, listened to their problems and gave directions to immediately resolve them.
