At least two people were killed and three others were injured in an explosion outside deputy commissionerâs office on Anscomb RoadÂ
in Quetta, the policemen and rescue workers at the scene said Friday.
One injured was said to be in a critical condition.
According to witnesses, the explosion took place inside a truck parked near the DC office. They said a Kashmir Day rally of a religious group near the explosion site could be the target of the blast.
Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Arif Alvi have said that the international community should hold India accountable for its crimes against humanity in the Indian-administered Kashmir. Pakistan observes Kashmir Day every year on February 5 to show its support for the people in Indian-Administered Kashmir. President Alvi said that the Kashmir issue should be resolved in light of the resolutions of the UN Security Council and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
