The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Masood Khan has urged the Pakistanis and Kashmiris living in the United States to promote a positive image of Pakistan and raise voice for the rights of Kashmiri people at every available forum.
He said this during a meeting with Ali Rashid, President of American Pakistani Advocacy Group, who called on him at the Presidency on Wednesday and briefed him about the activities of the Kashmiri and the Pakistani community in the United States regarding the Kashmir issue.
The AJK president especially thanked the Pakistani community of New York on behalf of himself and the people of Azad Kashmir and maintained that due to the efforts of the Pakistani and Kashmiri community in New York, a resolution was passed by the New York State Assembly earlier this year declaring February 5th as Kashmir Day.

KARACHI: With hands folded and his daughter’s photograph by his side, Mohammad Shumal, the father of 14-year-old Asma Shumal of Islamabad, addressed a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Monday, begging the authorities and the highest offices in the country to help him find his minor daughter.
“It has been 39 days since my daughter went missing. Other than knowing that she was brought to Karachi following her abduction in Islamabad on Feb 4, we still don’t know of her whereabouts. Her recovery is the state’s responsibility. I appeal to the Islamabad High Court, the chief justice, the interior minister, the prime minister and the president to step in and help me recover Asma,” he said.

Police say that she has been brought to Karachi, however, no recovery has been made.

Asma Shumal, a 14-year-old from Islamabad has been missing for 39 days. The family does not know her whereabouts but we are praying that she safely returns home.
On Monday, her father, Mohammad Shumal addressed a press conference at the Karachi Press Club to request the authorities to help him find his minor daughter.

While speculation continues about the reasons for a ceasefire between India and Pakistan at the Line of Control, terrorist groups like the Hizbul Mujahideen, their two bit buddies, and their friends across the border, have all reacted with dismay at the ceasefire. As well they might.
Without the varied and certain assistance that they have taken for granted for years, they will find the going very hard indeed.
An end to that is far from certain, and as the Head of the vital Srinagar-based 15 Corps put it, the Army intends to put in place a solid counter infiltration grid, in a trust-but-verify mode. Outfits operating here are clearly in shock.
