LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - An ex-deputy is on trial, accused of sex crimes involving children. Jurors heard testimony from three young girls in the trial of former Calcasieu Sheriffâs Deputy David Monceaux.
Late today, jurors heard Monceauxâs video confession admitting to sexual activity with the girls.
Monceaux is accused of two counts of first-degree rape and three counts of sexual battery of victims under thirteen. In this case, prosecutors say the three young girls ranged in age from four to eight at the time.

The Natchitoches Sheriff s Department recovered the body and vehicle of a woman who has been missing since 1993 in the Cane River on Monday.
On November 3, 1993, 40-year-old Kara E. Vaughn was reported missing. According to family members, Vaughn, a diabetic, left her home without her medication and less than $10 in cash.
On the night she left, she told her family she would drive her vehicle into the Cane River and never be found. As you can imagine, family members were concerned about her and she said she was upset before left her home in her 1978 Honda Civic.

NATCHITOCHES - Natchitoches Sheriff s Deputies believe they have recovered the body and vehicle of a woman who has been missing for 28 years in the Cane River on Monday.
On November 3, 1993, 40-year-old Kara E. Vaughn was reported missing. According to family members, Vaughn, a diabetic, left her home without her medication and less than $10 in cash.
On the evening she left, she stated that she would drive her vehicle into the Cane River and never be found. Family members were worried about her and said she was upset before she left home in her 1978 Honda Civic.
