Apparently the slowdown was due to a group of fewer than 10 cars in a funeral procession, led by a hearse going about 10 mph. All the vehicles had their flashing lights on. Is this legal?  Polly Windels A: Funeral processions are legal, even on the highway, but the lead vehicle should consider the safety of others, said Lt. Robert Donnelly of the Colonie Police Department, traffic safety division.

Jeffrey Walker was last seen about 2 a.m. Saturday in the 5200 block of State Highway 121.(Texas Department of Public Safety ) Jeffrey Walker is white, 5-8 and 160 pounds. He has red hair and green eyes, and was last seen wearing a dark green long sleeve t-shirt, black track pants with a white stripe and black leather work boots. He has a shamrock tattoo on his neck.

Troy police probe fatal hit-and-run crash

TROY, N.Y. — Troy police are probing a hit-and-run auto crash involving a pedestrian who was struck and killed. The incident happened late Thursday night, April, 29. Shortly after 10 p.m., Troy police patrols received 911 calls reporting a man on the ground, at the intersection of 112th Street and 2nd Avenue, who appeared injured. Patrols responded and located the victim, dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as Eric Jones, 40, his family has been notified and police noted their thoughts remain with Jones’s family and friends as they process this unexpected loss. The preliminary investigation has concluded the victim was struck by a vehicle and that the involved vehicle did not remain at the scene of the crash. Throughout Thursday night and continuing Friday detectives are interviewing potential witnesses and sifting through any available video evidence.
