A Utica man was arrested after allegedly stealing a pellet gun from a Walmart outside of Albany, and pointing at people in the parking lot.

COLONIE, N.Y. – A Utica man was arrested just outside of Albany Wednesday after allegedly stealing a pellet rifle from a Walmart in Colonie, and pointing it at multiple people while attempting to steal vehicles from the parking lot.
Police say the incident happened after 25-year-old Daquan D. Forehand was released from Oneida County Correctional Facility on cash bail earlier in the day. He had been held at the jail since March 7 on domestic violence charges.

Police also released still images from a civilian dash cam that showed the suspect in front of the car, pointing the gun directly into it.
Police Thursday identified the suspect as Daquan D. Forehand, 25, of Utica. He now faces multiple felonies related to the incident, including two counts of second-degree attempted robbery and one count each of menacing a police officer and fourth-degree grand larceny.

COLONIE A Watervliet man fired late last year returned to his former employer and set a delivery vehicle ablaze on two occasions, destroying both and causing an estimated $150,000 in damage, town police said.
The 42-year-old suspect, Steven C. Rapoport, was arrested Thursday following a search of his home, according to the Colonie Police Department. He was charged with two counts of third-degree arson and two counts of criminal mischief in the second degree, all felonies, and released on his own recognizance following arraignment in town court, police said.
Rapoport was employed by UniFirst Corp., at 157 Troy-Schenectady Road, until being terminated under unamicable circumstances, according to an account provided by police.
