The Seminoles were led by an outstanding pitching performance as she tossed her eighth complete game of the season while only allowing the Knights to get one hit. UCF 0, No. 10 Florida State 2 Kathryn Sandercock started and pitched all seven innings with eight strikeouts, while only allowing one hit. Sandercock tossed a no-hitter through 5.2 innings before Denali Schappacher tripled to right-center. Florida State threatened in the second inning with a leadoff single by Elizabeth Mason. Devyn Flaherty then hit a double in left-center to put runners on second and third with one out, but the Seminoles could not convert. Two innings later, the Garnet and Gold got the offense rolling. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. The No. 10 Florida State softball team (41-10-1) advanced to Sunday at the Tallahassee Regional after knocking off UCF (40-18-1), 3-0, behind two Cassidy Davis home runs. No. 10 Florida State 3, UCF 0 Caylan Arnold started and pitched 4.2 innings with three hits allowed and six strikeouts. Arnold had a no-hitter with four strikeouts through three innings. Danielle Watson entered the game in relief in the fifth inning with two runners on. Watson then loaded the bases with a walk before getting out of the bases-loaded jam. She did not allow another batter on for the rest of her appearance as she earned one strikeout in 2.1 innings of work on the way to her first save of the season. After being no-hit through four innings the Seminoles got the bats working in the fifth inning with two hits, including a solo home run by Cassidy Davis way over the left-field fence. After going ahead 5-4 in the seventh inning in Game 1, the Seminoles got the bats going in Game 2, stringing together 14 runs on 12 hits, including two home runs from freshman Kalei Harding.
