LEXINGTON, S.C. Lexington County says it s aware of several concerns with trash service and says some of this has been caused by a lack of staffing as well as absences.
The county said it s been working with contractors on a daily basis to work through the issues. We understand that this has been very frustrating for several people, and need residents to understand that the County is addressing the priorities of trash, then recycling, and finally yard waste, the county said in a statement. The New Bern Shrine Club, Pamlico County Shrine Club, Shrine Units and area Shriners held our 54th annual Fish Fry on Friday, April 23, 2021. Shriners, their ladies and volunteers came out to prepare and served over 6,800 plates of fish with all the timings at four locations in New Bern, Havelock and Pamlico County. We would like to express our deep appreciation to everyone that came out and bought our plates, and for the support received from the businesses of Craven and Pamlico County including our surrounding communities. All the proceeds from our annual Fish Fries are always donated to the Shriners Hospitals for Children this year proceeds will go to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Greenville South Carolina.
