When I turned 17, my mom forced me into her car, drove less than a block to our neighborhood Bill Miller s, and said, Don t come back until you have a job.
Going into my senior year of high school in 2010, I knew I had to get a job if I wanted to keep my flip phone and take a driver s license course. Surprisingly, the manager hired me on the spot, which shocked me as it was my first job ever. I ended up staying there for three years, and I don t regret it (maybe a little because it s where I met my ex-fiance).
