A popular artisan market is reopening in San Antonio.
The Farmers Market Plaza Building, located in the Historic Market Square, will reopen to the public on Friday, April 12, the city announced in a news release Monday afternoon.
Officials temporarily closed the building for three months to allow for maintenance and repairs while the rest of the Historic Market Square remained open, including shops and restaurants.

SAN ANTONIO – A pop-up mercado at Market Square will open up at the beginning of 2021 as the Farmers Market Plaza Building will temporarily close for repairs and maintenance.
Starting on Jan. 7, more than 25 businesses from the Farmers Market Plaza will head to the Centro de Artes building at 101 S. Santa Rosa for three months.

A portion of San Antonio s Market Square will be shuttered for three months beginning Jan. 2 and it s not because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Famers Market Plaza Building will undergo improvements and mold abatement. Only the Farmers Market Plaza, which is the building closest to Interstate 35, will be affected by the closure. The rest of the Market Square shops and restaurants included will remain open, the city s development and operations department told mySA.
