Can you eat Maine bluefin tuna with a clear conscience?

Can you eat Maine bluefin tuna with a clear conscience? It s complicated, but here s a hint to tuna lovers: the news is good. By Christine Burns Rudalevige There is no silver bullet solution to managing the complicated Atlantic bluefin tuna fishery. These slow-growing but lightning-fast fish are highly migratory, a fact that can skew regional stock assessments. Changing ocean water temperatures as a result of climate change mean that where these predators can find enough food to sustain their 500-pound bodies is also changing. We explore the al fresco experience when the temperature dips. Share Paul and Elizabeth Piche of Gorham clink glasses as steam rises from Elizabeth s hot toddy. The two were dining under heat lamps at Chaval on a cold February evening. Shawn Patrick Ouellette/Staff Photographer At 7:30 a.m., I check the temperature outside (16 degrees) and lay out my clothes on the bed: long underwear top and bottom, two pairs of socks (the outermost of bulky wool), turtleneck, Woolrich ski sweater with snowflake pattern (apt), warm winter hiking pants, REI nylon rain pants, warmest wooliest hat, lined mittens (made from a cast-off wool sweater), down coat that reaches past my knees, wraparound scarf that will wrap three times in a pinch, and snow boots
