Traveller Letters: Cancelled Qantas connection a missing link in our holiday

CANCEL CULTURE We had decided to take Scomo s advice and holiday here this year , booking flights and accommodation from Sydney for one week in Darwin, followed by four days in Uluru. All bookings for two couples were completed in early February. We received a credit notice from Qantas on March 22 saying our confirmed flights from Alice Springs to Uluru were cancelled due to COVID-19. On further investigation they had also cancelled our earlier flights from Darwin to Alice Springs on that day. On checking the Qantas website, the flight from Darwin to Alice Springs is still flying, and we were able to rebook our seats on that flight with the credit note. However there are no flights from Alice Springs to Uluru. This seems ridiculous. Surely all travellers to Uluru are not coming out of Sydney or Melbourne direct?

Burlington County parties back candidates in race for LD8

Burlington County s Democratic and Republican committees have announced who the parties are backing in the 8th Legislative District Senate and Assembly races. The race to represent the district that encompasses towns across Burlington, Camden and Atlantic counties is expected to be one of the most competitive in the state this November. Republicans are looking to take back the Senate seat from Sen. Dawn Addiego, who will run as a Democrat for the first time since flipping parties in 2019. The GOP also hopes to hold on to the two Assembly seats up for grabs. Democrats are looking to take full control of the district, currently represented by Addiego and Republican Assembly members Jean Stanfield and Ryan Peters.
