Burlington County s Democratic and Republican committees have announced who the parties are backing in the 8th Legislative District Senate and Assembly races.
The race to represent the district that encompasses towns across Burlington, Camden and Atlantic counties is expected to be one of the most competitive in the state this November.
Republicans are looking to take back the Senate seat from Sen. Dawn Addiego, who will run as a Democrat for the first time since flipping parties in 2019. The GOP also hopes to hold on to the two Assembly seats up for grabs.
Democrats are looking to take full control of the district, currently represented by Addiego and Republican Assembly members Jean Stanfield and Ryan Peters.
