RIDGEFIELD The town’s affordable housing committee is interested in establishing a trust fund for the development of affordable housing.
Affordable housing trust funds are allowable under state law, letting towns create a trust fund that can be used to increase affordable housing in that community. Additional building fees, for example, can be tacked onto projects with money from those fees going toward the fund.

RIDGEFIELD Some affordable housing units that remained vacant for several months in Ridgefield might soon become home to new residents as the housing authority recuperates from employment challenges.
Ridgefield has four affordable housing entities that the housing authority oversees: an independent living residence for seniors at Ballard Green, a congregate senior facility at Prospect Ridge, Meadow Ridge family units at Prospect Ridge and general affordable housing spread between both locations.

City names municipal electric task force Monday, December 21, 2020 6:00 PM
The Decorah Sustainability Commission is charged, in part, with helping the City of Decorah implement its Sustainability Plan, which was approved and adopted by the City Council in February 2020.
One of the action items in the Plan called for the establishment of this municipal electric utility task force.
The Commission voted to recommend the names of task force members at a special meeting of the Commission Dec. 2. The Decorah City Council considered the recommendation from the Commission at their regular meeting on Monday, Dec. 7. The council voted 6-1 to appoint the task force ,which will begin its work in January 2021.
