LAHORE: The history of attacks, subversive activities and accidents involving Chinese engineers and workers, associated with projects in Pakistan, dates back to May 3, 2004, when a car bomb in Gwadar had killed three engineers from the brotherly country.
Research shows that remote-control detonation occurred when the Chinese engineers were being transported to work on a project developing port facilities in Gwadar. According to “BBC News,” this was the first major attack on foreign workers, since a suicide bomber had killed 11 French engineers in Karachi in 2002. Some 17 years ago, more than 400 Chinese engineers and construction workers were working on this project, then valued at $250million.

All culprits that executed the bomb blast in Johar Town, Lahore on June 23 were arrested by the law enforcement agencies within four days of the incident. The investigations of that dastardly occurrence point to Indian involvement.
In a presser held to reveal relevant details, Prime Minister’s Advisor on National Security, Moeed Yousaf, sat alongside Punjab Police IG and Federal Minister for Information. He noted,
“I want to make sure that our message is heard very clearly regarding this particular incident. We have concrete evidence and intelligence, including financial and telephone records, which point to direct Indian sponsorship of these terrorists.”

ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi said India was involved in hybrid warfare against Pakistan by using the soil of Afghanistan and supporting militancy and terrorism in the country.
Referring to the terrorist attacks on country’s Karachi Stock Exchange, Johar Town bomb blast, arrest of Kulbhushan Jadhav and many other terrorist activities, he said these attacks had been carried out with the Indian support to destabilise Pakistan. He said India was hatching conspiracies against Pakistan to destabilise it by funding militant organisations to carry out terrorist activities.
He added that India would not succeed in its evil designs as Pakistan’s armed forces were fully capable to overcome the security challenges, particularly the 5th generation war.
