GUWAHATI: The All Guwahati Students Union (AGSU) staged a protest against the price hike crisis at the Judges filed here on Tuesday. It has demanded the district administration to constitute a task force to nab the unscrupulous traders who are taking advantage of the pandemic situation. Mentioning their demands, the students body also submitted a memorandum to the Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner following the demonstration. The COVID-19 pandemic has paralyzed the people economically. Due to this crisis, a section of unscrupulous traders are bashing the people by earning profits, said AGSU president Anwar Hussain.
DC asks health officials to start contact tracing
The Kamrup Metro District Administration on Friday held a meeting with representatives from different departments to discuss the COVID situation of the district.

GUWAHATI: The Kamrup Metro District Administration on Friday held a meeting with representatives from different departments to discuss the COVID situation of the district.
Chairing the meeting, Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner (DC) Biswajit Pegu instructed the health officials to identify at least 30 persons that a COVID-19 patient has come in contact with.
The DC asked the health officials to prioritize the testing of passengers at the airport and railway station.
