GUWAHATI: Given the increasing COVID cases in the district, the Kamrup Metro District Administration on Friday issued an order stating that the persons who undergo RT-PCR test will have to stay under home isolation until the results of the test are out.
Addressing a meeting at the Deputy Commissioner s Conference Hall here on Friday, Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner
Biswajit Pegu said that the persons will be under the observation of the police and health workers until their reports are out.
Pegu said that there is a possibility that a COVID positive person can transmit the virus between the interval of the test and the results.
DC asks health officials to start contact tracing

GUWAHATI: The Kamrup Metro District Administration on Friday held a meeting with representatives from different departments to discuss the COVID situation of the district.
Chairing the meeting, Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner (DC) Biswajit Pegu instructed the health officials to identify at least 30 persons that a COVID-19 patient has come in contact with.
The DC asked the health officials to prioritize the testing of passengers at the airport and railway station.
