Traders across India to go on strike on Feb 26 against arbitrary GST

New Delhi, Feb 25: Going ahead with their protest against arbitrary regulations and changes in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and alleged norm violations by e-commerce giants, traders across the country will go a day-long strike on Friday.
In a statement, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) the umbrella body which has called for the strike said that over 8 crore traders belonging to more than 40,000 trade associations across country will observe the Bharat Vyapar Bandh to protest against some of the draconian, arbitrary and critical amendments made recently in GST rules.

New Delhi [India], February 11 (ANI): India and Canada share a broad-based relationship and are natural partners, said Former High Commissioner to CanadaVishnu Prakash on Thursday while adding that the Indians are held in high esteem in Ottawa.
In an interview to ANI, the former envoy said though there are niggles in India-Canada relationship but the relationship is much bigger than the niggles . India and Canada do not share an one-issue relationship but a very broad-based relationship. We are natural partners given the fact that we are not just democracies but we are multicultural societies. We have similarities of outlook and our economies are complementary.
