NEWPORT BEACH, CA Vanessa Bryant, widow of Kobe Bryant and mother of Gianna, has launched a tirade at Nike over social media Thursday.
Bryant said over Instagram that a shoe she designed in honor of her late daughter, Gianna, but never approved for sale or release, is being sold without her permission.
Nike has yet to release a comment on the matter as of this report.

The cast of
Knives Out 2 continues to grow. The production is set to start this summer in Greece, so it isn t surprising that all of the casting announcements are getting dumped into the month of May. They don t want any of the cast to leak once they get on set, and people are going to be paying attention to this movie a lot more than they paid attention to the first one.
Knives Out became something of a sleeper hit in 2019 as it brought in over $300 million at the worldwide box office and also garnered a ton of award nominations. It wasn t a surprise when they greenlit a sequel. What was a surprise was earlier this year when Netflix swept in and paid over $400 million for the rights of

Per
ESPN, this decision was not made lightly and came from Bryant’s frustration with Nike. Reportedly, “Bryant and the estate had grown frustrated with
Nike limiting the availability of Kobe products during his retirement and after his January 2020 death in a helicopter crash. There was also frustration with the lack of availability of Kobe footwear in kids’ sizes, according to sources.”
Vanessa shared a statement with
ESPN and supporters via her Instagram story, shedding light on the tough decision.
