Lima teen charged in armed robberies waives right to jury trial

Juan Freeman II will stand trial beginning Monday in the Allen County courtroom of Judge Terri Kohlrieser. Freeman, 18, on Tuesday waived his constitutional right to a jury trial in favor of a trial to the court in which Kohlrieser will be the sole trier of facts. He is charged with three counts of aggravated robbery with firearm specifications in connection with armed robberies at two Lima businesses in January of 2020.

LIMA A trial is scheduled in Allen County Common Pleas Court beginning Monday for a Lima teenager who police and prosecutors say was one of two juveniles who took part in armed robberies more than a year ago at Little Caesar’s pizza and Hermie’s Party Shop in Lima.
