YOUNGSTOWN — Aaron C. Keys, 29, arrested Monday evening after gunfire was heard on East Auburndale Avenue, was arraigned Wednesday on several gun charges.
During a hearing in Youngstown Municipal Court, Keys pleaded not guilty to discharging a firearm in city limits. No plea was required on felony charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and carrying concealed weapons.
Police were patrolling at the intersection of South and Lucius avenues when officers heard a gunshot in the 300 block of East Auburndale Avenue.
They turned onto Auburndale and saw Keys walking down the street. Keys began to run through back yards, jumping a fence on Auburndale and continuing a couple blocks south.
